  2. I know this will be rough guys, but the steps of a direct instruction lesson plan are:
    Anticipatory Set
    Objective
    Instruction
    Modeling
    Check for Understanding
    Guided Practice
    Independent Practice

  3. Morning Messages/Notes: Teacher writes TO the students by leaving a message on the board for students in the mornign. Teacher writes notes TO the students on assignments or to send home. This not only provides encouragement to the student but most importantly the teacher is modeling writing.

  4. SQ3R Study Strategey:
    1. Survey - preview reading assignment, skim headings.
    2. Question - Turn headings into questions
    3. Read - find the answers to the questions
    4. Recite - right after reading, students recite questions and answers.
    5. Review- review what you have read and the questions you had.

  5. Disadvantages of Round Robin Reading:
    1. students may develop an inaccurate view of reading because they are expected to read aloud to the class without having the opportunity to rehearse.
    2. They amy develop indfficient reading habits because they alter their silent rading speed to match the various speeds of their classmates. Causes them to be anxious
    3. It is disengaging and boring
    4. Students don't take much from it-low comprehension
